In 2018, Dior released a new edition of Dior Sauvage, originally launched in 2015, as an Eau de Parfum. François Demachy, Dior's in-house perfumer, reimagines this version to unveil new dimensions of Sauvage. The composition, featuring oriental and vanilla notes, is characterized as enveloping, suave, mysterious, and sensual. It retains some elements from the original, such as bergamot, Sichuan pepper, lavender, and ambroxan, while introducing spices and warm, oriental tones including star anise, nutmeg, and Papua vanilla.
